Jules Hilliard commented on What is the direction that the Party is going/wants to go? 2018-06-27 21:52:52 -0400I’ve been listening, or reading, all that is being said here, and I concur with at least most of it however, talk is cheap and action will get the job done. I know I really do not have the right to be critical here but, we really need to actually do something. Do we have a PR man in this organization? You know, you can create the greatest widget in the world but, if know one knows about it, your not going to sell any.
What is the possibility of forming small action groups? There is one problem: There could be another Whig living down the street from me and I wouldn’t know it. Is there anyway that we can share this information?
Another thing. What about mini conventions?
Of course, we could all wait till November 2020 and then suggest; maybe we should do something.
Jules Hilliard commented on Just found this group!^ ^ 2018-06-27 21:17:46 -0400It’s been 4 months and nothing. Sorry Sarah, I’m experiencing almost the same thing. Trying to get a response from someone. It is beginning to look like another do nothing party.

Jules Hilliard commented on The Missing Word in Washington.... 2018-01-23 16:33:55 -0500True, there is absolutely too much bickering and division in our governing bodies today. Of course compromise is a beautiful thing. However, it may not be part of reality. It seems to me that many of those in the establishment do not understand the word compromise. It seems that their understanding of the word means that we should give in to their particular agenda. And of course most everyone has their own agenda. Not that they are necessarily wrong, mind you, but they also seem to know, (right or wrong), what everyone needs or wants. It also seems that they are more for their parties agenda than what is best for the majority of the people. At least this is the impression that I have gotten from the rhetoric that has been transpiring over the years.
If we could get members of the establishment to set aside their own individual agendas, (at least temporarily), and to openly discuss the prevailing issues we might truly be able to compromise.
But, I think, this is not the real immediate challenge for us. That challenge, I believe, is waking up our fellow Americans that this is our country, and those so called representatives work for us. I believe for the Modern Whig Party to truly serve, we need to find out how our fellow American really think. And also, to remind them of those three little words “WE THE PEOPLE”. Then, maybe we can be prepared to go to the negotiating table and discuss the issues in a sane and just manner.
Jules Hilliard commented on A Thought to Our Official Color 2017-11-29 14:13:06 -0500White on white is not very visual. Most printed information is on white paper. I believe the buff with blue, (if we are going to use the same logo), would be a good choice. I do not believe we should use the colors of another party. So, what is the color of an owl? Also, it seemed to be good enough for George Washington.
